The C-7 Caribou wood model is just one of the many aircraft replica models that we offer. The C-7 Caribou model aircraft is fully handcrafted and made of the finest mahogany wood. Colors and other designs of the original model were cautiously painted on the C-7 Caribou replica. It passes through several stages of priming and sanding. And for C-7 Caribou model airplane’s protection and glossy finish, it is coated with a clear lacquer.
History:
The deHavilland C-7 (DHC-4) Caribou was a twin-engine, light tactical aircraft manufactured by deHavilland Aircraft of Canada, Ltd. The C7 was designed for operation in the most primitive of conditions / has short takeoff and landing (STOL) capability. The Caribou was capable of carrying passengers, litter patients, or cargo it can unload and take off on the surfaces not prepared of less than 1.000 feet length. Its sector of cargo was released and had rollers of floor to allow the parachuting of the equipment or the personnel.
The Caribou flew for the first time on July 30 1958. In 1959, the U.S. Army flew many prototypes for evaluation and, in 1961, the first 22 out of a total of 159 production versions were delivered to the Army. Originally designated AC-1, the aircraft was redesigned CV-2 in 1962 and retained that designation for the remainder of its Army career. In January 1967, when responsibility for all fixed-wing tactical transports was transferred to the U.S. Air Force, the Caribou received the designation C-7. During the Southeast Asian conflict, the Caribou's STOL capability made it particularly suitable for delivering troops, supplies, and equipment to isolated outposts.

Our Made to Order products includes aircrafts, helicopters, space crafts, plaques and other models that our customers wish to be produced. The scaled down model replicas are made to match the image you see here using blueprints and specs on-hand in our production facility. Production and Delivery time of the Made to Order model is approximately 12 to 14 weeks.
We only charge customers’ cards 50% initial deposit of the retail price while the full price shows in the shopping cart and on the receipt. We charge the remaining balance once production is complete and ready to be shipped right on your doorstep.
*Alteration on the design such as change of paint schemes and markings or embodied features on our models occurs at any time. Detachable stand is included with the model which may vary from the photo.
