Our HH-60 Pave Hawk model helicopter is ideally suited for collectibles, executive gifts, premium and promotional incentives, art gallery "sculptures", and many other purposes. Working from exact blueprints, our HH-60 Pave Hawk model aircraft is sculptured by our master craftsmen from specially treated mahogany wood. The HH-60 Pave Hawk wood model is made to recognized collector scales for enhanced value. Every part of the wooden helicopter is assembled precisely into place using the highest quality adhesive available. After shaping and sanding, the HH-60 Pave Hawk wooden helicopter model passes through several stages of priming and sanding before it is hand-painted to duplicate the actual colors of the historical aircraft.
The main role of the Sikorsky HH-60 Pave Hawk chopper is to perform day or night combat search and rescue (CSAR) operations into irreconcilable territories to recuperate downed aircrew and other isolated air force personnel’s during war. The HH-60 may also perform peace-time operations because of its versatility. Some of its operations include civilian search and rescue, emergency aero medical evacuation (MEDEVAC), disaster relief, global assistance, counter-drug activities and NASA space shuttle support.
Three Pave Hawks were deployed at Hoedspruit Air Force Base in South Africa in March 2000 to help in the global flood relief operations in Mozambique. The HH-60s have flown 240 missions in 17 days and delivered more than 160 tons relief goods. The Pave Hawks of the Air Force from the Pacific Theatre also took part in a massive humanitarian relief activity in early 2005 in Sri Lanka to assist the Tsunami victims.
By the end of 2005, the HH-60 Pave Hawks from different Air Force commands have coordinated with rescue operations for the Hurricane Katrina survivors. The mission has rescued thousands of stranded individuals. The HH-60 Pave Hawks are currently operating in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom supporting Army combat operations.
